Then you remove the agitator within the tub. after that you unclip the pump and motor from the transmission. Then tilt the unit back and remove the screws holding the transmission to the frame then slide it out. This is a fairly hard job to do. It is wise to pay some to do this so it is done right. This clothes dryer has a burnt smell coming from it and is not drying well at all. The smell the customer was having was a burning smell from lint in the clothes dryer catching on fire. The heating issue was caused by a clogged vent to the outside of the home which was blocking the flow of air out of the dryer rear vent. We opened the machine up and to find…. well look at the pics. The unit was pretty well built up with lint on the inside. There vent to the outside was not venting out air at all. We removed the unit and cleaned it up. We also took a compressed air tank and blew threw the vent from inside to the outside. Make sure they would have good air flow to the outside. If your machine is over 3 years you need to check it for lint build up. It is not worth a dryer fire that could happen…
